WE'LL STRENGHTEN LG ADMINISTRATION-OYINLOLA
As the 30 newly elected local government chairmen are set to be sworn in on Thursday in Osun state, the Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola has said that local government administration in the state would be strenghtened for optimal performance.
Prince Oyinlola, who spoke with newsmen after commissioning projects executed by outgoing caretaker committees of the council areas said people at the grassroots would get better attention from the incoming council bosses even as he scored high the caretaker committees for executing populist projects.
THe Governor also said that he was determined to put a lie to insinuations that second terms were never used by politicians for serious business maintaining that greater accomplishments would be achieved by his administration during the term.
He thanked the citizenry for their unwaivering support and advised them to continue to give their utmost cooperation to the government assuring that their welfare would continue to be of priority.
As at Monday, the governor had commissioned roads, classrooms and health centres constructed by the outgoing council chairmen in 20 local government areas.
THe inauguration of the projects in the remaining 10 local governments will be concluded today while government has issued a statement that the new council bosses would be sworn-in on Thursday morning.
