OYINLOLA'S WIFE RESCUES ACCIDENT VICTIMS
Three abandoned accident victims were rescued on Thursday by the wife of Osun State Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Omolola Oyinlola.
The injured persons were met in the pool of their own blood abandoned by the roadside following an accident involving their vehicle at Ikire on the way to Ibadan.
The Governor’s wife who was on her way to Lagos had to abort the trip as she rushed the victims to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Osogbo for adequate medical attention.
Two of the victims, who were in very critical conditions were admitted at the Accident and Emergency unit of LAUTECH while the third one was said to have died on the way to the hospital.
Speaking with newsmen at the hospital, Chief (Mrs.) Oyinlola called on motorists to drive with care just as she urged the people to learn to assist accident victims whenever found.
She particularly deplored the abandonment of the victims for hours before she got to the accident scene lamenting that they had lost much blood in the process.
