OSUN ASSEMBLY GAVE APPROVAL TO OJO AS PRESIDENT OSUN STATE CUSTOMARY COURT OF APPEAL
The immediate past president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has been given a pass mark for giving a life-line to the judicial system through the approval of a living wage to judicial officers.
The Speaker Osun State House of Assembly,Hon Adejare Bello expressed this opinion while the parliament was considering the nomination of Justice Ojo Olaniyi as the President of Osun State Customary Court of Appeal.
According to Hon Adejare Bello, judges in Nigeria are now relatively well paid and they are living well above inducements.
He added that recent court pronouncements and reports from across the country are pointing to the fact that the judicial system in the country is now better positioned.
The parliament considered and gave approval to the nomination of Justice Olaniyi Ojo as the President of the state customary court of appeal.
The confirmation was through a motion by the deputy speaker, Hon Ropo Oyewole.
