Further hearing in the petition of Action Congress Governorship candidate in Osun State,Mr Rauf Aregbesola has been adjourned till Monday for Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola to continue his defence.

The adjournment was made at the instance of Aregbesola’s counsel, Charles Edosonwon although counsel to Governor Oyinlola, Otunba Kunle Kalejaye, SAN informed the tribunal that all his witnesses were lined up.

As at the close of the Thursday sitting of the tribunal, Prince Oyinlola had called a total of 20 witnesses spread across seven local governments among them ace broadcaster, Dr  Yemi Farounbi and medical specialist, Dr kola Akinroye who described Aregbesola’s allegation of thuggery leveled against them as malicious lies.

Also in the witness box for Governor Oyinlola was 76 year-old retired teacher of the governor, Pa Funso Adedoyin who also vehemently denied being involved in any violence on election day.

While Dr Farounbi described the AC witnesses who linked him with violence on election day as wicked, malicious liars, Dr Akinroye said they were dreamers as the events they claimed in their testimonies never happened.

All the witnesses told the tribunal that they voted on election day after they had been accredited by INEC officials and that they went back to their respective homes after casting their votes.

The witnesses were drawn from Ife South, Ife East, Ife Central, Odo Otin, Ifedayo, Atakumasa West and Isokan local governments.
