The Ministry of Commerce aims to enhance the economic of the State locally, nationally and globally.
The Ministry of Commerce, Co-operatives and Empowerment is concerned with the following duties but are not limited to:
- Register, coordinate and supervise c-operatives societies in the State.
- Facilitate loans, micro-credit and empowerment programmes for citizens.
- Supervise commercial activities and other comer related operations in the State.
- Raise revenue for government through levies, fines and other statutory collections.
Hon. Olaonipekun Henry Olabode is the Commissioner for this Ministry.
