Dr. Joseph Abolarinwa Tanimonwo, born on 3rd August 1967 in Odo-Otin Local Government of Osun State, is a distinguished veterinary professional with an extensive academic and professional background. He began his education at St. Peter’s Primary School, Inisa, and continued at Inisa Grammar School and Government College, Ibadan. He later pursued higher studies at the University of Ibadan, where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 and a Master’s degree in Veterinary Public Health & Preventive Medicine in 2000. His professional excellence was further recognized when he became a Fellow of the College of Veterinary Surgeons, Nigeria (Public Health) in 2017.

Dr. Tanimonwo’s career in the State Service began in December 2002 as a Veterinary Officer at Grade Level 12 Step 02. Through dedication and expertise, he rose to the position of Director of Veterinary Services at Grade Level 17, effective 1st January 2020. Married and deeply committed to advancing veterinary public health, he is known for his leadership in animal health management and preventive medicine.
