Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning is an Agency of Government that deals with securing of land for various organs of Government together with private developers and is responsible for advising Government on all matters relating to land and Physical Planning

To be the Agency of Government for efficient and effective Land administration ensuring seamless transactions in land and fostering easy access to land towards effective management that promotes equitable access to Land for a socio-economic development of Osun State.

Objectives Of the Ministry
The Objectives of the Agency are
- Facilitate access to lands so that Government, its agencies and private Developers may own parcels of land for socio-economic development of the Osun State through the implementation of the Land Use Act;
- Assess the value of Land Acquired or rented by Government;
- Formulate General Housing Policy for Governments;
- Develop strategies for settlement patterns with a view to integrating physical plans with economic programme;
- Prepare Master Plans for the major cities of the State;
- Implement Urban Renewal Programme / Policies in the State;
- Execute and maintain all infrastructure development projects within all GRAs in the State.
Functions And Responsibilities
LIST OF SERVICES OFFERRED BY THE AGENCY
- To undertake and regulate physical Planning of the State.
- Processing and registration of title documents towards enhancing Internally Generated Revenue of the State.
- Facilitate easy access to lands so that Government, its agencies and private Developers may own parcels of land for socio-economic development of the Osun State through the implementation of the Land Use Act
- Assess the value of Land Acquired for rented by Government;
- Formulate General Housing Policy for Governments;
- Develop strategies for settlement patterns with a view to integrating physical plans with economic programme
- Prepare Master Plans for the major cities of the State
- Implementation of Urban Renewal Programme / Policies in the State
ACHIEVEMENTS
Further to various developmental projects embarked upon by Mr. Government since perception of his administration, Ministry of Lands and physical Planning had paid compensation to owners of stmotues affected by the dualization of Akoda Junction (Oke Gada) Ofatedo roads.
         Similarly, payment of compensation property owners that would be affected by ongoing dualizationn of road between Eereja Palace Square through Imo / Akure Expressway and the proposed Construction of Flyover/Bridge at Lagere, Ile-Ife is under processing.
