Osun Set to Train Budget Officers

A two-day training workshop for budget officers in all Ministries,  Departments and Agencies in the State of Osun will be declared open tomorrow morning,( Thursday 14th September 2017 )by the Commissioner for Human Resources and Capacity Building, Ms. Mobolaji Akande.
 

 
A release issued by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Human Resources and Capacity Building, Mr. Ayanleye Aina disclosed that, the workshop would hold between Thursday and Friday at Aurora Conference and Events Centre, Osogbo.
 
The release explained that the workshop became imperative in view of the need to equip the Budget Officers with adequate information on the  modalities for Budget preparation, stressing that, the preparation of year 2018 budget is unique in that it is expected to be International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) Compliant.
The release ,therefore, enjoined all Accounting Officers of all Ministries, Departments and Agencies to ensure that, Officers released for the training are competent members of the Budget Committees in  their various establishments, warning that, any budget prepared at variance with the guidelines stipulated at the training programme will not be accepted.
