2027: Governor Adeleke Reaffirms Endorsement of President Tinubu.

● Commends Osun People for Mass Support for Accord

OSOGBO – 07/03/2026 – osunstate.gov.ng

Governor Ademola Adeleke has again reaffirmed his endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027, appreciating Osun people for demonstrating mass endorsement for Accord.

Addressing cabinet members, special advisers and top government officials at the government house, Governor Adeleke said the crisis rocking the local governments in Osun state has not affected his endorsement of the President during his days in the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).

“We have no problem with President Tinubu. He is our leader. He represents the South West. I restate our endorsement of Mr President for re-election in the best interest of the South West.

“Our problem is with Minister Oyetola who has not gotten over his loss of 2022. We hold Mr. Oyetola accountable for the local government crisis rather than the President. Osun people also hold the same view.

“I appreciate Osun people for their mass embrace of Accord since I joined the party. Osun has become yellow and this is even spreading outside Osun borders. Our local chapters are running a weekly walk to live which is attracting thousands of participants.

“I assure Osun people of more delivery of democratic dividends. Our excellent performance so far will be redoubled when we get re-elected. In our new upgraded agenda, we are refocussing attention on youth, women and workers.

“We are consolidating on our gains in the infrastructure sector while we dwell more on agro-industrialisation and enhanced access to qualitative education and health services. We are set to triple our good job on good governance and delivery of democratic dividends”, the governor told the government and party officials at the meeting.

He directed the officials to relaunch the Accord structures across the state through ongoing membership registration and roll out mobilisation of voters across the 332 wards in the state.

“Go out and build on the popularity of Accord since we came on board. Solidify our hold on the grassroots. Flaunt our record of achievements across the local governments and get set for open campaign for victory on August 15th”, the governor declared at the meeting.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi; top party chieftain, Yeye Dupe Adeleke-Sanni; House Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun; Accord State Chairman, Pastor Victor Akande; General Chairman, Hon Sunday Bisi; commissioners, special advisers, elected council chairmen, Senior Special Assistants, and other state and party functionaries.

Signed:
Mallam Olawale Rasheed,
Spokesperson to the State Governor.
