Governor Adeleke Receives Royal Blessings, Massive Endorsements Across Irepodun Local Government

State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, on Wednesday received a thunderous reception across Erin-Osun and Ilobu in Irepodun Local Government Area as unprecedented crowds of residents, supporters, youths, women and party faithful turned out to welcome him during the Imole Campaign Council’s (TICC) consultation and mobilisation tour ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
The mammoth turnout transformed both ancient towns into carnival-like scenes as chants of support echoed through major streets. At the palaces of His Royal Majesty, Oba Yusuf Adekunle Omoloye Oyagbodun II, the Elerin of Erin-Osun, and His Royal Majesty, Oba Ashiru Olatoye Olaniyan II, the Olobu of Ilobu, traditional rulers, community leaders and stakeholders reaffirmed their confidence in Governor Adeleke’s administration and openly expressed their support for his re-election.
Speaking on behalf of the Erin-Osun Progressive Union (EPU), its National President, Chief Kayode Olawale, commended Governor Adeleke for ensuring Erin-Osun enjoys visible inclusion in governance through appointments and employment opportunities, particularly the recruitment of teachers.
He praised the Governor’s record of human capital development and appealed for additional infrastructure projects, declaring that the people of Erin-Osun remain firmly behind his administration.
“We appreciate your massive inclusion of Erin-Osun in your government. You have done well, and we are hopeful that you will be re-elected. As you continue developing the human capacity of our town, we also appeal for more infrastructural development. Erin-Osun supports you, and by the grace of God, you will be victorious,” he stated.
Responding, Governor Adeleke thanked the people of Irepodun Local Government for their overwhelming support and assured them that his administration remains committed to delivering even greater dividends of democracy across Osun State.
The Governor said his administration had fulfilled the promises made to the people during the 2022 electioneering campaign, stressing that even greater achievements lie ahead if re-elected.
“I appreciate your support. When we came here in 2022, I promised you good governance, and I have fulfilled what I promised. But the people have not seen anything yet. We will do much more for Osun State,” Governor Adeleke declared.
At the grand finale of the campaign rally in Ilobu, former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Lasun Yusuf, speaking on behalf of leaders and stakeholders in Irepodun Local Government, passed a vote of confidence in Governor Adeleke’s administration and assured him of overwhelming support and victory in the August 15 governorship election.
In their separate royal remarks, the Elerin of Erin-Osun, His Royal Majesty, Oba Yusuf Adekunle Omoloye Oyagbodun II, prayed for Governor Adeleke’s successful re-election and expressed confidence that the people of Erin-Osun would once again entrust him with the mandate to continue the transformation of Osun State.
Similarly, the Olobu of Ilobu, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ashiru Olatoye Olaniyan II, assured Governor Adeleke and members of the Imole Campaign Council of the support of Ilobu, expressing confidence that the people of Irepodun Local Government would overwhelmingly back the Governor’s second-term bid.
“You have our prayers and our support. Ilobu stands with you, and the people of Irepodun Local Government will once again support your re-election. May God grant you victory and strengthen you to continue delivering good governance and development across Osun State,” the monarch declared.
The visits formed part of the Imole Campaign Council’s ongoing consultation and mobilisation tour across the state, with communities continuing to reaffirm their support for Governor Adeleke’s people-focused administration and its record of inclusive governance, infrastructure renewal and human capital development.
