The government of Osun State has rebuffed opposition of violation of law and tradition over the appointment of new kings, declaring that the appointments were in line with tradition and chieftaincy laws.

Osun State government has advised members of the public to be wary of some unscrupulous elements brandishing old pictures of the state of some healthcare centers, ostensibly to distract attention from the ongoing rehabilitation of health facilities in the state, describing the mischief makers as shameless lame ducks with no traceable records of positive impacts in the state.
