The State also runs a social welfare programme targeted at the seniors called the Agba Osun Elderly Scheme. Agba Osun provides welfare for highly vulnerable seniors who have do not have guardian support. The scheme currently provides monetary support to some 1602 elders as well as free and personal medical attention. Osun is one of few states running such scheme in the country.
