.GOVERNOR ADELEKE CELEBRATES EX-OSUN SPEAKER NAJEEM SALAM ON HIS BIRTHDAY

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has congratulated a former Speaker of the state’s assembly, Rt. Hon. Najeem Folasayo Salami, describing him as a politician whose life reflects service to the people.

Governor Adeleke praises Rt. Hon. Salam for guiding the state’s legislature introduction of highly impacting legislatures during the eight years he presided over the House, hailing him as disciplined parliamentarian who chooses progress ahead of politics.

The Governor commends the ex-Speaker for the passionate interest shown towards human capital development, earning him not just fanatic support base but human resources that are contributing to Osun in various spheres, saying the Ejigbo-born politician is a leader that is worth celebrating for his endearing contributions to Osun.

“On this joyous occasion, I join family, friends and well-wishers to celebrate a former Speaker in Osun state, Rt. Hon. Najeem Folasayo Salam. Rt. Hon. Salam is a politician who continues to remind us all that the people are not just numbers but an important aspect of our development, and as such, we must do everything to change their stories,” the Governor was quoted as saying in a congratulatory message.

“As Speaker, Rt. Hon. Salam was guided by the common goal of taking Osun to a greater height and this is reflected in the legislations and motions that comes from the House he led. On this occasion of your birthday, I salute the passion for public good that drives his actions and also celebrate him for always showing that political differences shouldn’t bring discord but harness for moving the society forward”.

The Governor prayed for God’s continued grace over him as he aged on, while impressing on him to sustain contributions to the progress of Osun state in whatever capacity he find himself now or in the future.
