OSOGBO – 09/09/2025 – osunstate.gov.ng

Governor Ademola Adeleke has addressed the concerns of students community about the state of Ada-Ire road, assuring the stakeholders that work is ongoing on the road in phases.

In a statement issued today, the Governor noted the worries of the students but assured them that the first section out of the three phases which is 1.6 km has been completed.

According to the Governor, the second phase of the road will soon commence to ensure early completion of the entire stretch of the road.

While commending the students for their patriotic calls on the state of the road, the Governor said the Commissioner for Education has been directed to interface with the stakeholders on the development and other related issues..

The Governor who lauded the campus groups and the Osun state chapter of the National Association of Osun Students (NAOS) assured them that the administration will soon host a stakeholders’ conference where positive development in the state will be discussed.

He however cautioned against any actions that may undermine the peace and progress of the state, reminding them of the need to avoid politicization of a purely developmental matter which is already receiving the attention of the state government.

“Our administration is delivering on good governance across the sectors and we appreciate the support of all sections of the Osun society. We must however avoid falling into the trap of desperate politicians who are hell bent on causing mayhem in Osun state”, the statement concluded.
