GOVERNOR ADELEKE MOURNS PASSING OF OLUOMO GBENGA OWOLABI

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has expressed sadness over the news of the passing of a former Chairman in Ife Central local government, Oluomo Gbenga Owolabi, describing his sudden death as painful.

Governor Adeleke said the late politician lived for the people, contributing to the solution of a better society, saying that his death is a personal loss, given the deceased long-term affinity to the Adeleke Dynasty.

The Governor commiserated with the immediate family of the deceased, the people of Ife, associates and everyone touched by the passing of the highly accomplished politician.

“I’m disheartened to hear about the passing of Oluomo Gbenga Owolabi, a former Chairman of the Ife Central local government. Whether as a politician or an entrepreneur, Oluomo Owolabi demonstrated a strong commitment to make a difference in the society, giving hopes to innumerous people,”Governor Adeleke was quoted as saying in a condolences message.

“On behalf of the good people of Osun State, I convey my heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, the people of Ife, associates and everyone touched by this unfortunate loss.

“As much as his passing represents a huge loss, I ask that we should be consoled by the life of impacts that defined Oluomo Owolabi and be persuaded by the legacy of remarkable contributions to the socioeconomic progress of Ile-Ife and Osun state that his time on Earth reflected.

Governor Adeleke prays to God Almighty to repose his soul and grant his family, associates and everyone touched by his passing the fortitude to bear the pain, adding that “it is my sincere hope that his good works will not die with him.”
