Osun APC is scared of its own shadows -Adeleke Spokesperson

OSOGBO– 08/02/2026

The Osun state chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) is scared of the evil consequences of its anti-human actions especially on the local government issues, hence its many spurious allegations about proposed protest.

We assert categorically that the Adeleke administration is not in the business of sponsoring protests and agitations; the people know their rights and they will defend their rights against impunity and lawlessness. The oppressed workers, pensioners and citizens are conscious of their rights to oppose impunity but they are set to do so by delivering a full time defeat to the APC in August.

Osun people have seen through the shenanigans of the APC, the party’s plot to kill and maim innocent Osun people. But the people are wiser– Osun residents and citizens will use their ballot to punish the APC for her illegal arrogance, reprehensible impunity, shameful constitutional breaches, daylight robbery of local workers and pensioners, and its demonstration of extreme wickedness in the handling of local government finances.

We declare clearly that Governor Adeleke and his entire team, including his family are committed to rule of law and due process, hence it has no plan to support APC agenda to plunge Osun into avoidable crisis. The spurious alarm is in furtherance of the APC undemocratic push to seize Osun through the backdoor after realising the strong conviction of Osun people to reject it at the poll in August.

For the past 12 months, the governor has managed, curtail and contain evil elements whose sole agenda is to create mayhem because they are scared of facing the electorate. In partnership with the people, the Governor has entered into a pact with Osun people to defeat the APC again in August and forge ahead with the delivery of good governance across Osun state.

As a law-abiding government, we will not stand in the way of citizens exercising their constitutional guaranteed rights and urged the Police and other security agents to be on the watch out to foil any plot by the APC to use the genuine grievances of pensioners to create instability in the state. Governor Adeleke has maintained restraint in the face of provocation and continues to implore citizens to be careful not to fall into the dangerous game of the APC to plunge our State into needless crisis.

Signed:
Mallam Olawale Rasheed,
Spokesperson to the Osun State Governor.
