Governor Adeleke Has a Lot in Stock for Iwoland, Says Spokesperson.

● Urges Sustained Peace, Massive Support for Governor’s Re-Election

OSOGBO – 04/07/2026 – osunstate.gov.ng

The Special Adviser/Spokesperson to Governor Ademola Adeleke, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, has declared that the Governor has a lot in stock for Iwoland, stressing that, aside from what the administration has already delivered, the Governor has bigger plans for the constituency in the areas of infrastructure, water resources, industrial development and other critical sectors.

Addressing the meeting of the Iwo Action Council (IWAC) today, Mallam Rasheed listed the major projects the Governor has executed across Iwoland, noting that no administration has undertaken such widespread road development within such a short period.

He cited the construction of the Araromi-Panada-Kuti Road, Osogbo Junction-Ajigbaagun Road, Feesu-Agbowo Road, Ile-Amin-Jagun Ode Road, Post Office-Muniare-Oke Bode/Okefa Road, as well as the ongoing Testing Ground-Gaa Fulani-Amuludun Road and Agoro-Patara Road projects.

According to him, the Governor crowned the road interventions with the first major dual carriageway in the history of Iwo through the dualisation of the Odo Ori-Adeke Road.

He explained that the project is beyond a road dualisation, as it actually involves the redevelopment of the Iwo city centre, extending from the Palace Junction through Akaso Junction to the Post Office Junction.

“Governor Adeleke did not just dualize roads; he redesigned the heart of Iwo. It is a city centre development project that will change the face of the town for generations to come,” he stated.

The Spokesperson also referenced the reconstruction of the Adeke Bridge, recalling that the bridge had become a major concern before Governor Adeleke assumed office, adding that the administration restored the critical infrastructure to ease movement and improve connectivity within the town.

According to him, Governor Adeleke has not only built Iwo through landmark infrastructure but has also reunited the town through inclusive governance and equal attention to every section of the community.

On water supply, Mallam Olawale disclosed that the Iwo Water Works has been reactivated, while the remaining phase of the project is awaiting completion as more funds become available.

He informed the gathering that Governor Adeleke also has the intention of developing the Oke-Oba axis of Iwo into an industrial hub to take advantage of the Federal Government’s Inland Dry Port located at Erunmu in Lagelu Local Government Area of Oyo State.

He also said the old Samosta farms is to be repackaged for global agricultural investors by the state investment agency, OSICOL, noting that Mr Governor has directed community participation in the ownership of the farm.

Mallam Rasheed further revealed that the Governor intends to extend the ongoing dualisation from Post Office to Adeke Junction, while a similar dual carriageway is planned from Oluponna Junction to Kara Market.

While drumming support for the re-election of Governor Adeleke, the spokesperson said the Governor has done so well for Iwo people by delivering projects that many considered impossible, particularly the completion of the first major dual carriageway in the history of the town.

He urged the people of Iwo to vote massively for Governor Adeleke, saying continuity of the administration would guarantee the completion of ongoing projects and the implementation of the bigger development plans already outlined for Iwoland.

The meeting was attended by the President and members of the Iwo Action Council (IWAC), alongside representatives of various Iwo social clubs and stakeholders from the major political parties.

Signed:
Mallam Olawale Rasheed,
Spokesperson to the State Governor.
