Represented by his Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi, Governor Adeleke made this call while marking the 2025 International Youth Day celebration at Fakunle Comprehensive High School in Osogbo, the state capital.

The Governor emphasized that technology has transformed the way we communicate, access information, and find solutions. He encouraged youths to connect with peers globally, share ideas, and collaborate on solving common challenges. This year’s theme focuses on empowering young people through digital platforms, and Governor Adeleke commended the resilience and peaceful coexistence of youths in their communities.

Governor Adeleke highlighted his administration’s commitment to liberating thousands of Osun youths from unemployment. He reiterated the employment of 10,000 Imole Youth Corps members across sectors such as education, health, and environmental services. Additionally, he mentioned the appointment of young people into various roles within his administration, demonstrating his resolve to remain a youth-friendly governor.

The Governor stressed that partnerships can produce creative responses to global issues like climate change, public health crises, and social inequality. He urged youths to remain supportive of his administration, assuring them that their patience and understanding will help implement policies that will bring meaningful and lasting progress.

Governor Adeleke reassured the youths that their priorities are his administration’s priorities. He expressed confidence that together, they will lead Osun State to greater heights.

In his earlier remark, the Chairman of the Osun Youth Congress, Comrade Akinbode Oluwasegun, highlighted the organization’s youth empowerment initiatives, including digital and installation training, free skills acquisition programs, and partnerships with the state government to improve access to practical training and entrepreneurial support for youths.

The celebration was attended by top government functionaries and featured fun activities with enthusiastic youth displays.
