Osun Holds Another Thursday Environmental Sanitation Tomorrow.

…Calls for compliance during 8am-10 am weekly sanitation exercise

OSOGBO – 21/10/2026 — osunstate.gov.ng

Another in the series of the newly introduced weekly environmental sanitation exercise approved by Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke holds tomorrow morning, between 8am and 10am.

This is contained in a statement issued by the State Head Of Service and Chairman of the State Taskforce on Environmental Sanitation, Mr Samuel Ayanleye Aina.

The statement enjoins all offices, market operators, shop owners, artisans, malls, stores and business premises owners to take active parts during the exercise.

The statement, which expressed gladness and satisfaction on the appreciable level of turn out during the maiden weekly exercise last week Thursday, equally harps on the need for all residents to do more .

The statement further reminds the Osun public that the essence of the introduction of the weekly environmental Sanitation is not to witch-hunt or inflict hardship on the people but to keep the entire state clean and tidy as one of the means of addressing the menace of haphazard dumping of refuse in all unauthorized places.

While also reminding the public that, as usual, law enforcement agents will be everywhere to ensure strict compliance, the Chairman of the Taskforce calls for support and cooperation of the people while the two hour long duration of 8am-10 am slated for the exercise lasts.

E-Signed
Mr Ayanleye Samuel Aina,
Head Of Service & Chairman, Environmental Sanitation Taskforce,
Osun State
