It also commended the state government for its initiatives for new school structures, saying it would usher in a new era in the education sector in the state.
According to the group, the governor has shown that he is a man of honour, having promised to restructure the sector after the Education Summit held immediately he assumed power and he is now building new model schools for public school pupils to be able to compete with the best in the world.
“The State’s Opon-Imo project is another trail-blazer worthy of commendation. This singular act has made our public schools a toast for parents and pupils themselves and we advise that other states cue into the scheme for the benefit of Nigerian child”, the statement added.
