osun-state-governor-mr-rauf-aregbesola_-_copy_0-300x225Government of Osun State has cautioned farmers and Fulani/Bororo herdsmen in the state to avoid activities arising from the grazing of farmlands that could cause conflicts but rather see themselves as partners.
Speaking in Osogbo during a one-day conference organised for Fulani/Bororo and crop farmers in the state, the chairman of the committee on harmonious relationship between Fulani/Bororo herdsmen and crop farmers in the state, Hon Mudashiru Toogun expressed joy that conflicts between the two groups have reduced since the committee was set up.
He pointed out that the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola values the safety of lives and property hence the approval for the conference to be held as well as a peace committee involving all the stakeholders be set up in all local governments in the state.
