Everything Governor Adeleke Said in Channels Interview are True – Spokesperson.

Governor Ademola Adeleke’s interview granted Channels Television is a narration of the true state of things in Osun when he took over the governance of the state and two years after with his widely commended governance performance.
Spokesperson to the State Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed made the assertion in response to a press statement by the State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Mallam Rasheed who described Osun APC as a rudderless club suffering from irreparable factionalisation said the Governor was right in recalling the looting of government quarters and transport pool by the former government.
Recalling several indicting reports from multiple investigative committees, the Spokesperson recalled that the state leadership was pressured to focus on governance and ignore those indicted on various grounds, adding “maybe it is time the leadership consider releasing names of those who mismanaged the state before and after they lost elections in 2022.
“We are not all suffering from amnesia. The widespread looting of Government House and other official quarters was fully covered by both electronic and print media with several clips across the social media. Journalists went round and confirmed this ungodly conduct.
“In the estate where the Press Secretary residence was located, it is important to note that all the nine flats were looted except that of my brother, Ismail Omipidan. The residence of the Governor and that of the Deputy Governor were not spared. All these were fully reported and documented.
“The public was also aware that functionaries of the former government carted away their official vehicles and refused to release them up till now. A recovery task force actually retrieved some vehicles and is still on the trail of many more.
“And as to what the Governor said on his performance, the positive ratings are not coming from Mr Governor or his party but from members of the public and even top opposition leaders. The popular Comrade, Mewolaka actually destroyed the table in her recent posts about the incredible performance of Mr Governor.
“I can also kindly remind the Osun APC that several federal agencies commended Mr Governor and some actually gave awards. The national loans board, the national school feeding office, the presidential school debate office, the national primary health challenge among others eulogised the Osun Governor for commendable delivery on good governance. All these are public records.
“And on the veiled allegations of corruption in the APC statement, we hurry to remind the opposition that all evil machinations against the state government have proven to be baseless. Even when more money flows into the state in the area of little percentage increment in state allocation, Mr Governor is deploying such resources to fund health facility upgrade, payment of half salary and pension debt, statewide road and infrastructure upgrade, full funding of education institutions, financial inclusion for small businesses and several other pro-projects and programmes.
“It is not too late for the Osun APC to change its strategy. The opposition will remain unelectable for a long time as long as it specializes in twisting facts and denying superlative performance that even the blind are attesting to”, the Spokesperson concluded.
