Governor Adeleke Celebrates Her Excellency Erelu Dame Olusola Idowu Obada, CON, KJW, on Birthday

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has felicitated with Her Excellency, Erelu Dame Olusola Idowu Obada, CON, KJW, the Erelu of Ijesaland and Yeye Oba of Ibodi-Ijesa, on the occasion of her birthday, applauding her remarkable record of public service, and invaluable contributions to the growth of Osun State and Nigeria.

Governor Adeleke described Erelu Obada as a distinguished stateswoman whose illustrious career in law, politics, and public administration has continued to inspire generations of women and young Nigerians.

The Governor noted that history will forever remember Her Excellency as the first democratically elected female Deputy Governor of Osun State, a landmark achievement that opened new frontiers for women’s participation in governance.

Governor Adeleke also celebrated her outstanding service to the nation as Minister of State for Defence and later as Minister of Defence, describing her stewardship as one marked by patriotism, and commitment to the unity and security of Nigeria.

In his congratulatory message, Governor Adeleke said:

“Today, I celebrate a truly exceptional daughter of Osun State, Her Excellency Erelu Dame Olusola Idowu Obada, CON, KJW, whose life has become a shining example of purposeful leadership and selfless service.

“Through every stage of her remarkable journey, whether as a legal practitioner, Deputy Governor, Minister, traditional leader, or community builder, she has consistently demonstrated uncommon courage, wisdom, and an enduring commitment to the progress of our people.
