OSOGBO- 18/03/2025 – osunstate.gov.ng

Governor Ademola Adeleke today reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening primary health care delivery in Osun state because it serves the immediate need of the population at the grassroots level.

The Governor made this declaration while visiting some newly renovated primary health care centres at Telemu, Ola oluwa Local Government and Ido Osun, Egbedore local government, affirming that his option was determined by the closeness of the primary health care centers to the people.

Speaking at Telemu, the Governor said he was happy with the clean environment in and around the health centre and the prompt attention the people are receiving from medical personnel.

“I am glad that our people are now benefitting from the outcome of the upgrade and renovation of the health centres. I assure Osun people that we will not relent on the upgrade of our health facilities”, the governor noted.

The Governor who received rousing welcome from the leaders and people of Telemu and Olaoluwa local government also visited Ido Osun where the Olojudo of Ido Osun, Oba Olayinka Jokotola praised the good governance delivery of the Adeleke administration, adding “ Mr Governor, we praise your delivery of democratic dividends.

“Before you renovated this health centre, it was in shambles with running down facilities. Now it is rebranded with solar and water facilities. We appreciate you and your governance team. Our people of Ido Osun stand by you now and in the future”, the royal father stated.

Responding, Governor Adeleke said a new round of renovation and upgrading of primary health centres is to start soon as announced at a recent unveiling of N159 billion infra projects.

“Our strategy is to deepen health care access at the local level. We seek to keep our people healthy from the lowest level. When they have easy access, health questions can be addressed before it degenerates.

“We plan to address all levels of health services from primary to secondary and tertiary levels. We have recorded big marks from the primary health care level. We proceed to address the health sector holistically”, he told the Ido Osun people.

The Governor was accompanied by the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi; the Secretary to the State Government, Hon Teslim Igbalaye and members of the State Executive Council.
