Governor Adeleke Commends Osun PDP Restructuring and Expansion, Praises Peaceful Ward Congresses.

OSOGBO – 21/09/2025 – osunstate.gov.ng

Governor Ademola Adeleke has commended the successful restructuring and continuous expansion of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) across Osun state, declaring that the party has earned the trust and goodwill of Osun people from all walks of life

In a statement issued after the conclusion of the statewide ward congresses, Governor Adeleke expressed happiness at the increasing strength and hold of the PDP on Osun state despite recent controversies, noting that his recent unscheduled visits to several parts of the state confirm our people’s love for the PDP and our administration.

“I visited several parts of the state in recent weeks without prior announcement and the feedback on ground was deeply positive. Osun people acknowledge that our party and its government not only meant well, but have actually demonstrated strong capacity to deliver on good governance across the sectors of the state economy”, the Governor was quoted to have said.

Describing Osun PDP as a party of the people serving only the aspirations and interest of the people, the Governor recalled the series of endorsement from various interest groups and affirmed that “ no party has garnered such goodwill and grassroots support in recent Osun history.

“In the last few months, unsolicited endorsement of our party and government in terms of our performance and electability has become almost a weekly occurrence. All critical sectors of Osun society have declared support for our party and state leadership.

“The PDP has restructured locally and expanded its reach. PDP is without doubt the most popular political party in Osun State today. While others are battling each other in their unpopular party, Osun PDP is consolidating and reaffirming itself as the party of the people for 2026 and beyond.

“I congratulate Osun state PDP leadership and members on the successful conduct of our ward congresses.PDP is stronger and entrenched. We appreciate the Sunday Bisi led leadership, the Stakeholders’ forum and my Chief of Staff for working hard to restore and expand the PDP winning card”, the Governor said.

He assured the people of Osun state of his determination to continue to provide good governance leadership, promising that the party and the administration has resolved to continue to prioritize both hard and soft infrastructure from now to 2026 and beyond.
