OSOGBO– 04/10/2025–osunstate.gov.ng

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has congratulated a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Olasunkanmi Yusuf, on the occasion of his 65th birthday, eulogising him as a politician with a distinct history of contributions.

Governor Adeleke praises Rt. Hon. Yusuf’s dedication to the service of the people, which is defined by his stellar performance in the National Assembly as a lawmaker, acknowledging the many life-changing opportunities his forward-looking representation brought to bear on constituents and Osun people as a whole while he was in the green chamber.

The Governor recognises the Ilobu-born politician’s profound interest in the progress of Osun state as manifest in the unwavering support for his administration’s efforts to place the state on the path of growth and prosperity, celebrating him for the mark he has made in the service of the people and national development given his outstanding output as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.

“I join family, friends and associates in celebrating a remarkable politician, Rt. Hon. Olasunkanmi Yusuf, on the occasion of his 65th birthday. Rt. Hon. Yusuf’s life embodies service, dedicating most part of his adult life to shaping lives and strengthening institutions,” Governor Adeleke was quoted as saying in a congratulatory message.

“As a lawmaker, Rt. Hon. Yusuf showed capacity and that earned him the trust of his colleagues to elect him as Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives in 2015. Outside lawmaking functions, Rt. Hon. Yusuf is an entrepreneur of note, contributing significantly to the state’s economy through his arrays of businesses in hospitality and farming.

“As he turns 65 years today, I honour the life of contributions that defined him and celebrate him for the opportunities he continues to create for the people. On this day, just as always, I appreciate him for sharing our administration’s goal of transforming Osun for the better.”

Governor Adeleke wishes the celebrant a joyous celebration and pray to Almighty Allah to grant him good health, longer life, and the strength to continue to make contributions to our society, be it in public service or private capacity.

Signed:
Mallam Olawale Rasheed,
Spokesperson to the Osun State Governor.
