Hon. Justice Michael Oludare Awe was born at Ilesa in Ilesa East Local Government of Osun state, Nigeria on 22nd April, 1967.He attended the Cherubim and Seraphim High School and Ilesa Grammar School, both in Ilesa, for his Secondary and post Secondary School Education. He

Hon. Justice Michael Oludare Awe was born at Ilesa in Ilesa East Local Government of Osun state, Nigeria on 22nd April, 1967.He attended the Cherubim and Seraphim High School and Ilesa Grammar School, both in Ilesa, for his Secondary and post Secondary School Education. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B Hons) from the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka in 1992. He equally passed the bar final Examinations and was called to the Nigerian Bar on 15th December, 1993. He thereafter worked with the Law firms of Akins & Akins Solicitors, 6 Enu Owa Street, Ondo, Ondo State and Layi Afolabi & Co, 2 Gbongan/Ibadan Road, Osogbo, Osun State, respectively, before he established his Law Office at No. 19, Iwo-Ibadan Road, Osogbo, Osun State in 1998. He was the Principal Counsel in Dare Awe &Co. before he was appointed to the lower bench as a Magistrate Grade I on 1st December, 2000. His lordship’s stay in practice was remarkable in that he was able to achieve great success in the suits he handled. His lordship, through dedication and hardwork, rose through the ranks to become a Chief Magistrate Grade I on1st December, 2013. He had served as the Chief Magistrate(Admin) at different Magisterial Districts where he was posted to He was also appointed the Director of Studies (a post he held for many years) by the Magistrates’ Association of Nigeria, Osun State Chapter. He has attended several N.B.A. and MAN organized retreats, conferences and workshops. He was promoted to the offices of the Deputy Chief Registrar (Establishment) and Deputy Chief Registrar I (Admin) of the High Court of Justice, Osogbo
after which he was elevated to the High Court Bench on 6thFebruary, 2023. Hon. Justice Awe is married with children and hishobbies include reading, gardening and Motivational talks.
