Aregbesola's Victory Boosted Our Morale – Buhari

Rauf+Aregbesola-600x4001Former Head of State and presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has described the victory of Governor Rauf Aregbesola at the poll as a morale booster for the APC.
Speaking at the inauguration of the governor for another four year term in office in Osogbo Osun State yesterday, Buhari said the victory, after the devastating loss of Ekiti State to another political party and the impeachment of Adamawa State governor, Murtala Nyako boosted the morale of the main opposition party.
Saying Aregbesola’s performance during his first term in office was outstanding, he told Nigerians to vote APC at the national level to enjoy the dividends of democracy as being witnessed in Osun State.
In his inaugural speech, Governor Rauf Aregbesola, who thanked the people of Osun State for standing by him during his first term also commended them for voting him in for another term in office.
Narrating the ordeal of the people in the hands of security agents during the governorship election in the state, Aregbesola said the plan of the federal authorities was to instil fear in the people and discourage them from exercising their right to vote.
Commending the people for disappointing the evil planners, he stressed the need for them to work to ensure further victory for the APC in the 2015 general elections.
The governor admonished Nigerians to vote out the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) government at the centre and in the various states at next year’s general elections, saying the party lacked focus and had no programme that could transform the country.
Speaking on what he called his pact with the people of Osun, he pledged his commitment to continue with the programme and outstanding policy formulation which he said brought about monumental development in the state in his first term in office.
In his goodwill message, leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu charged students to identify with common sense revolution, pointing out that all they needed to do was to vote out those in government at the centre.
