Security Matters: Governor Adeleke Continues Security Council Meetings.u
OSOGBO – 02/06/2026 – Osunstate.gov.ng
Governor Ademola Adeleke today continues the hosting of security meetings which started two days ago to preempt likely security threats.
The various meetings started with internal security reviews followed by further consultations on aligning formal and informal security networks to strengthen security of lives and properties.
The governor had met representatives of local hunters, Oodua Peoples Congress, Agbekoyas and the state security outfit, the Amotekun service.
The interaction and brainstorming sessions build a coalition of informal security structures designed to complement the efforts of the formal security organisations.
As part of statewide intelligence mapping, the governor has also received the informal report about areas of threats, likely hot-spots and vulnerable border areas.
This afternoon, the formal state security council involving all service commanders commenced at the Governor’s Office.
According to the Security Adviser to the Governor, Mr Samuel Ojo, the meeting firmed up pre-emptive security actions to stop any likely school kidnappings.
“The details of the security strategy are being kept secret. But on behalf of Mr Governor, I want to assure our people that Osun is safe and secure”, the security adviser posited.
