The attention of the Osun State Government has been drawn to the Press Release issued by the National Executive Council of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at the end of its emergency meeting held in Abuja on Saturday, 5 September 2026, particularly the portions relating to the implementation of the 2025 Federal Government of Nigeria–ASUU Agreement and the governance of Osun State University (UNIOSUN).

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, extends warm felicitations to Hon. Lanre Omoleye Oladebo, Member of the House of Representatives representing Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, as he celebrates his birthday today.

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has issued an Executive Order establishing a Coroner Inquest/Panel of Inquiry into the killings, shootings, injuries and violence reported at Naira and Kobo Junction, Motor Park/Garage Area, Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area, on August 24, 2026.

Governor Ademola Adeleke has dissolved the governing Council of the Osun State University in a bid to strengthen the institution’s governance structures.

It is with deep sense of gratitude and appreciation that I address you on this occasion of the 35th anniversary of the creation of our dear state.
