Aregbesola Commissions Computer, Phone Assembly Plant Today

Governo847291676editor_Ogbeni_Rauf_Aregbesola-300x199r Rauf Aregbesola would Thursday morning commission a world class ICT company located along Ilesa-Ife Express road, Ilesa.

A press statement issued by the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Sunday Akere disclosed that the RLG Adulawo Technology City is a fruition of the state government’s private partnership initiative.
This partnership commenced with the training of youths in the ICT module with emphasis on practical lessons on mobile phone, computer assemblage and repairs under the OYESTECH scheme of the state government.
The company has graduated the first batch of 5000 beneficiaries and further trained 200 of the beneficiaries at her assembly plant in Ghana.
“To this end, RLG in partnership with the state has built its biggest assembly plant in Ilesha, to provide employment and strategically key into the industry which today relies solely on importation.
The technology city has the capacity to create 10,000 jobs directly and indirectly at full utilization. The production line can assemble 5000 mobile phones and 2500 computers per day”, the statement added.
