Osun Indigenes In US Promise Support For Aregbesola

_79325362_02_nigeria_flag_reutersIndigenes of Osun State based in the United State of America (USA) have pledged their support for the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in taking the state to a greater height in terms of provision of good health services.
However, the team has arrived the state on a medical mission visit, promising to ensure good health of the people of the state.
Receiving the medical team at the Osun State Secretariat, Abeere, the Deputy Governor, Mrs.Titi-LaoyeTomori, lauded the team for the love they have for their state by taken the risk to come at a time when people are afraid of coming to the country due to the threat of Ebola Virus Disease.
Tomori who represented Governor RaufAregbesola, noted that the administration had reduced untimely death through the provision of free ambulance, adding that the administration would strive further and ensure good health of the people of the state.
“You will recall that provision of good health services is one of the six point integral action of this administration. I also want to tell you that Osun is the only state that is providing 24 hours ambulance service in the country.
“Despite the fact that we are the least funded state, we are the second in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth in the country,” she added.
Also speaking, former Commissioner for Health in the state, Dr. (Mrs) TemitopeIlori, expressed her happiness at the visit of the team, promising to do whatever in her capacity to bring development to the state.
“Though, we have left the government, we would not hesitate to facilitate anything that can be of benefit to the state.”
Dr. Ilupeju Oluremi, who led the team, however, assured the state government of the team’s readiness towards supporting the programmes of Aregbesola, noting that they had awarded 31 scholarship last year through the Ministry of Education.
