Professor Ademola Adeleke hails from ile Agboyele, Oke Baale in Osogbo, Osun State. His parents were Pa Raji Adeleke and Mrs. Falilat Adeleke of blessed memory. He had his Primary Education at Saint Paul's Anglican Primary School, Ilashe-ljesha, the town where he was born

Professor Ademola Adeleke hails from ile Agboyele, Oke Baale in Osogbo, Osun State. His parents were Pa Raji Adeleke and Mrs. Falilat Adeleke of blessed memory. He had his Primary Education at Saint Paul’s Anglican Primary School, Ilashe-ljesha, the town where he was born over five decades ago and his Secondary Education at llase Community High School, Ilase in Obokun Local Government Area. As a Science and Mathematics Educator, he started his career training at the then Oyo (now Osun) State College of Education, llesa where he studied Mathematics and Chemistry and graduated in 1990 as the best graduating student.

He proceeded to the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife to study Mathematics and Education and graduated with a first class division degree in 1993.

He began his academic sojourn in the Department of Mathematics as a lecturer at Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun and was later invited by the Obafemi Awolowo university, Ile-Ife to take up an automatic appointment on the strength of his first class degree.

He later at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife got the Award of Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics Education in 2005.

Ademola Adeleke rose through the ranks as an academic to become a Professor of Mathematics Education in the Department of Science and Technology Education of OAU, Ile-Ife on 1st October, 2013.

Prof Adeleke has participated in curriculum development exercises for schools, in Nigeria and West Africa as well as the larger world.

Prof Adeleke has recorded a number of firsts in life. He was the first graduate of Mathematics Education of OAU to be given automatic employment. He was the first recipient of the Stephen Oluwole Awokoya Foundation Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies in Science Education in Nigeria, the first Head of Science and Technology Education Department of OAU and the first Professor to emerge from this Department. He has served as external examiner to many Doctoral Candidates in Nigeria and other African countries as well as external professor assessor to numerous universities in Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. As a community man, he participates actively in both religious and social activities through community associations. He is currently the President of Circle of Wisdom, Nigeria.

Prof Adeleke is married to Mrs. Motunrayo Adeleke and the marriage is blessed with children.
