To be the prime sector of the economy of the State of Osun that makes the State the Industrial, Commercial and Investment hub in Nigeria.

Mission of the Ministry

To create a wealthy Osun Society through harnessing available recourses to boost investment that impact on business enterprises with benefits to all stakeholders in all localities.

Objectives Of the Ministry

The Objectives of the Agency are

  • Pragmatically promote the Commercial and Industrial development of the State of Osun through the empowerment of the people on the platform of cooperatives, informal and formal businesses;
  • Formulate policies and programmes to enhance industrial and commercial activities and promote economic growth and development generally in the State;
  • Formulate policies and programmes for the promotion and development of cottage and small scale industries in the State;
  • Liaise with the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment and other relevant Government agencies on trade promotion and facilitation as well as industrial promotion and development;
  • Promote investment generally, including but not limited to State Government participation in trade fairs, exhibition and publication of promotion of promotional materials
  • Promote the development of industrial estates;
  • Promote the production of industrial goods for export;
  • Liaise with relevant industrial and trade groups and associations with a view to enhancing their contribution to the economic development of the State;
  • Organize periodically, the staging of Osun Trade Fair as a means of promoting trade and investment;
  • Gather, collate and analyse data that can facilitate further development of the State in the areas of Commerce and Industry;
