Hon. Adejoorin, Mayowa Adeniyi, a native of Ikinyinwa in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State was born on the 29th day of March, 1967 in Ikinyinwa.

This happily married man with children began his educational journey at St. John’s Primary School, Ikinyinwa between 1972 and 1978 for his Primary School

Certificate before proceeding to Ibokun Grammar School, Ibokun for his Senior School Certificate between 1979 and 1984. Hon. Adejoorin was at the Federal University of Technology, Akure between 1986 and 1991 where he bagged his Bachelor of Technology, B.Tech (Hons.) in Biochemistry. Between 2002 and 2005 he was at the University of Ado-Ekiti for his Masters degree programme in Business Administration.

The brilliant Adejoorin has had several publications which include : Extractions, Purifications and Characteristics of Bio-Active Agents of African Locust Beans Husks (Parka Clappertoniana) which is his B. Tech Degree Thesis and Human Resources Management: A case study of Local Government Administration in Osun State, Nigeria written for his M.B.A thesis. He is a member of a many of associations, some of which are the Nigeria Institute of Management (fellow) Institute of Administrative Management of Nigeria (fellow), Biochemical Society of Nigeria (Trustee) among other.

Hon. Adejoorin’s work experience cuts across different sectors. He was a Class Teacher at Government Day Secondary School, Wukari, Taraba State for his NYSC. Programme between  1992 and 1993 and at a point, a class teacher (HOD Science) at Ikinyinwa /Iponda Community High School between 1993 and 1998. He is the Chairman, ACTORSAM GLOBAL SERVICES LTD (Consultancy Projects Financing and Contractor) and also the Chairman CENTURION HIGHLANDS INVESTMENTS LTD, (Table water production).

This illustrious son of Ikinyinwa has held several positions which include: serving as the Financial Secretary, Federal University of Technology, Akure. Student’s Union between 1987 and 1988. He was the National Representative, National Association of Biochemistry Students FUTA between 1990 and 1991.

On the political terrain, he served as the Pioneer Secretary, PDP, Obokun Local Government between 1998 and 1999. He was a Councilor, ward 03 / Minority Leader (PDP of the Council, Obokun Local Government, Osun State between 1998 and 2002, Secretary, Obokun Local Government between 2003 and 2007 and Chairman, Obokun Local Government between 2008 and 2010 during which he also served as Organizing Secretary, Caretaker Committee of PDP, Osun State between 2017 and 2018. He has had several honorary awards to his credit, one of which is the Honorary Doctor of Divinity presented to him by the Christ Pattern Bible College International in 2010.

The energetic Adejoorin is a sports enthusiast who enjoys football. He also loves to read and write. He is currently the Commissioner for Environment and Sanitation in Osun State.
