Easter / Eid-ul-Fitr: Governor Adeleke Recommits to Physical and Stomach Infrastructure, Commences Distribution of Rice

NEWS RELEASE

OSOGBO- 30/04/2024 – Osunstate.gov.ng

Governor Ademola Adeleke has restated his commitment to physical and stomach infrastructure as his government commences distribution of rice for the celebration of both the Easter and Eid-l- Fitr.

The Distribution which started in the last 24 hours is billed to cover all major population groups in the state.

Already, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has gotten the allocated rice through its state leadership while the Muslim community are in the process of taking theirs.

Other interest groups also listed to benefit from the exercise include traditional religion practitioners, Media groups, civil society groups, youth bodies and student organisations.

Aside from the current distribution, the government is to commence another round of rice and other palliative distribution after the yuletide period.

The state and the Federal Government are collaborating to share more palliatives, all in an attempt to alleviate the suffering of our people.

Commenting on the development , Governor Adeleke who again felicitated with both Christians and Muslims said “Our government is combining both physical and stomach infrastructure for the benefit of our people.

“I am Mr Infrastructure who is building physical and stomach infrastructure. Our administration is ensuring a proper mix of both to secure today and the future of our state.

“I am building roads in the state and in our bodies. We are focusing on both sides with resounding success. We will not succumb to distractions designed to halt completion of both sides of the infrastructural needs of our people.

“So my people, expect more palliatives, more support for us to survive these hard times. As flyover bridges are popping up, we will be feeding ourselves and providing interventions to tackle hunger, deprivation , high inflation and the biting economic emergency”, the Governor was quoted as saying.

Mallam Olawale Rasheed,
Spokesperson to the State Governor
