GOVERNOR ADELEKE MOURNS THE PASSING OF THE ASIWAJU OF IKIRUNLAND, ALHAJI GAZALI LAWAL.

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has described the passing of the Asiwaju of Ikirunland, Alhaji Gazali Dewale Lawal, OON, as painful and devastating, commiserating with the people of Ikirunland for the touching loss.

Governor Adeleke who notes Alhaji Lawal’s exceptional life of contributions, particularly in the Nigerian Police where he made so much sacrifices to the efforts of keeping citizens safe, said the death of the former Deputy Inspector-General of Police has not just denied Ikirun people but Osun and Nigeria as a whole the benefits of his experience and insights on security matters.

The Governor conveys his heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, associates and every one touched by his passing, urging those impacted by this loss to honour his memory by sustaining his legacy of good deeds.

“It is with a heart filled with pains that I offer my condolences to the people of Ikirunland over the passing of one of its illustrious sons, Alhaji Gazali Dewale Lawal, OON. While he was alive, Alhaji Lawal showed a great resolve for progress, utilizing his influence and resources for the benefits of his hometown,” Governor Adeleke was quoted to have said in a condolence message.

“His loss will leave a big void in a town he has shown so much interest in its development just as the values and his contributions to the social and economic development of our state will be remembered for generations to come.”

Governor Adeleke prays for the repose of the soul of the deceased and hoped that those left behind, especially family members, can find solace and strength in the memories of his remarkable life of impacts and the knowledge that his legacy will endure generations.
