HOS Initiates Award For Cleanest MDA

The Head of Service, Dr. Olowogboyega Oyebade’s initiative to ensure that all the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of government are clean has made him constitute an environmental sanitation committee headed by the Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Commission, Mr. Dayo Laluwoye and three other members namely Mr. Kayode Adegoke, Mr. Kelani Adesina and Mr. Adeolu Oyebayo to achieve this laudable objective.
At the first week, the Ministry of Environment was adjudged the neatest Ministry with the Local Government Service Commission and Osun State Water Corporation coming second and third respectively.
A trophy and a cash donation of #10,000 was given to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Sanitation, Dr. Temitope
Oladele to ginger all other (MDA’s) to participate attentively in the weekly environmental sanitation and ensure a neat and healthy
environment.
The ceremony took place Thursday, 26th October, 2017 at the Conference Room of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
The Accountant-General of the State, Mr. Akintayo Kolawole made the presentation to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Sanitation, Dr. Temitope Oladele on behalf of the Head of Service, Dr. Olowogboyega Oyebade.
The HOS charged all heads of Agencies to ensure strict compliance with the cleaning of the environment, adding that cash gifts and
presentation of a trophy will be done weekly after the exercise.
He said cleanliness is next to godliness and a healthy man is a wealthy man.
