Osun State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has emerged winner of multiple honours at the Annual Global Awards 2025 (South-West Region), clinching the title of Best Governor across five critical sectors of governance.

Governor Adeleke was adjudged the overall winner in the categories of Infrastructure, Agriculture, Empowerment, Health, and Security, following a rigorous regional voting process that took place between 1st December and 31st December, 2025.

The award ceremony was held on Saturday, 24th January, 2026, at the Water Crest Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, with stakeholders, public officials, and development partners in attendance.

The organisers noted that the Governor’s consistent investment in people-centred infrastructure, agricultural revitalisation, youth and women empowerment programmes, strengthened healthcare delivery, and proactive security governance distinguished Osun State within the South-West region.

Speaking on the recognition, Governor Adeleke described the awards as a validation of the administration’s governance philosophy anchored on service delivery, accountability, and inclusive development.

“This honour reflects the collective efforts of the Osun people and a leadership that believes governance must be felt in the daily lives of citizens accordingly,” the Governor said, dedicating the awards to residents of the state.

The Annual Global Awards is powered by Lens Africa, a platform committed to spotlighting excellence, innovation, and impactful leadership across Africa.

Governor Adeleke reiterated his commitment to sustaining the reform momentum in Osun State, stressing that the recognition would further inspire the administration to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people.
