Healthcare: Labour Tasks Employers In Osun

SONY DSC
Organised labour in Osun  on Wednesday urged  employers   to give workers opportunity to access quality health care.
Alhaji Saka Adesiyan, the  Chairman of  the NLC,  and his Trade Union Congress counterpart, Mr Oladele Adetunji, said this in Osogbo.
The duo made the call during a “ walk-to-live exercise’’ organised for workers in the state as part of the activities to mark the 2014 Workers’ Day.
The labour leaders expressed the belief that healthcare delivery and physical exercise would make the workers healthy and enhance their productivity.
Adesiyan, in particular,  urged workers to pay adequate attention to their health, adding that only a healthy worker could be productive.
Adetunji, on his part, advised workers to always engage in physical exercise to keep themselves fit and healthy.
The TUC chairman maintained that it was only healthy workers that could live to work on a daily basis.
Some workers,  who spoke with the News Agency of  Nigeria (NAN),  expressed  satisfaction with the exercise.
