Imole Free Medical Outreach Berths in Iwo as Dr Akindele, Special Adviser on Public Health conveys Governor Adeleke Goodwill Messages to Beneficiaries

The train of the Imole Free Medical Outreach has berthed in Iwo in continuation of the second edition of the outreach.

The flag-off ceremony of the second edition had started in Ilesha before the train moves to Ila a week ago and now currently at Iwo.

There were surge of crowd and an increasing number of potential beneficiaries awaiting to be treated at the State General Hospital Iwo, where the medical outreach is currently being held.

Among the surgical operations being carried out at the medical outreach are, Cataracts, Pterygium, Hernia, Hydrocele, Lipoma, keloids and body swellings while medical conditions like hypertension, diabetes, malaria, cough, tuberculosis and other diseases are also being treated.

The CMD of UNIOSUN and Head of the Medical operations at the Outreach, Prof Babatunde Olaitan took the S.A on Public Health to the Governor, Dr Akindele Adekunle round the medical wards to see the diverse number of patients being treated and equally to the pharmacy section where the beneficiaries are being giving the prescribed drugs for their ailment.

Dr Akindele assured the people that the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke is determined to improve the welfare and well-being of the people of the state and this informs why the Governor has given his assurance to make the Medical outreach a reoccurring event in his administration.

Dr Akindele equally applauds the comportment and diligence of the medical staff in carrying out their duties at their different assigned post. He assured them of government support for their welfare.

The enthusiastic crowd and excited beneficiaries at the Outreach showered prayers and praises on Governor Ademola Adeleke for his continuous efforts to make life better for the people of Osun. They reiterated their continuous support for his administration and commended him for taking the welfarism of the people a first-line charge of his government.

The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health, Dr Isiaka Adekunle was also onground to receive the Special Adviser to the outreach, while the Director of Public Health in the Ministry Dr A.B Bello and other career heads of the Ministry were actively involved in the outreach to ensure a seamless operation and success of the ongoing programme.

The train of the Imole Medical Outreach will be moving to Ile-Ife by next week on the 6th and 7th of September as the giant strides of Governor Ademola Adeleke administration continues in Osun.
