Governor Adeleke Boost Osun Creative Economy, Donates #5M to PMAN, as Bureau of Social Services Affirms Govt Support for the Creative Industry.

In commemoration of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s five-point agenda; which includes boosting the state economy through promotion of local content and massive support for social sector upliftment, the Osun State Government, through the office of Bureau of Social Services (BOSS) has today presented a sum of five million naira to the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) in support of the organisation structural development among other things.

At a one day event tagged “Enhancing local content, IMOLE OSUN FOR PMAN” held at the premises of the government agency in Osogbo, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Bureau of Social Services (BOSS), Chief Akintunde Bello Sheriff said the event is the affirmation of Governor Ademola Adeleke total support for the creative industry in the state. He asserted that, the government made the effort in its bid to recognise the creative industry as an integral part of the state economy, thereby supporting the practitioners and other subsectors in the industry.

Also, the Honourable Commissioner for Information, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi acknowledged the immeasurable support the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke has enjoyed in the state and this inform the reason why the Governor has always been striving to improve on its social welfare services to the people of the state devoid of any political colouration.

A National Officer of the organisation and the immediate past Governor of PMAN, Osun state chapter, Mr Mutiu Aiyeloja said, “We’ve been striving to make an attempt to get recognised in this manner. I as a person have met with a particular Deputy Governor of this state at a time for support and recognition for our organisation but all to no avail but surprisingly, it is the government of Governor Ademola Adeleke that has recognised the importance of our organisation and has giving us a very good support to uplift our organisation today. We don’t take this support for granted,” he reiterated.

The helmsman of the State Chapter of the Organisation in Osun, Comrade AbdulAzeez Ibrahim popularly known as “Aranfealjanat” said, on behalf of the entire members of the organisation in the nooks and corners of the state, “We hereby declare our unfettered support for the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the state and most importantly, his reelection bid in the state.”

Furthermore, he acknowledged the gesture from the state government and appreciated the recognition the state government has accorded them.

The highlight of the event was the official presentation of the five million naira cheque by the state government in support of the organisation in the state.

The event was well attended by government and political functionaries which includes, Alhaji Munir Raji, the Special Adviser on Political Affairs to the Governor, Alhaja Balqis Akinleye, Wife of the Chief of Staff, DG/PS of OSBC, Mrs Jolade Igbaroola, Forum of Senior Special Assistants in the state among several other public and political office holders.
