NEWS RELEASE

OSOGBO– 02/07/2025– Osunstate.gov.ng

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has described the passing of HRM Oba John Omoloso Makanjuola (Oyelusi III), the Elekusa of Ekusa, as monumental, saying the late traditional ruler lived for his people and will be sorely missed.

Governor Adeleke commiserates with his immediate family, particularly his son, Prince Kunle Makanjuola, who is the Chairman of RATTAWU in Osun state, the royal family and the entire subjects of Ekusa town, whose reign brought about remarkable progress for the ancient town.

“I’m deeply touched by the news of the passing of HRM Oba John Omoloso Makanjuola (Oyelusi III), the Elekusa of Ekusa in Odo-Otin local government area of Osun state. Kabiyesi lived for his people, utilising his tool to foster unity and peace of his domain,” the Governor was quoted as saying in a condolence message.

“His passing has left a huge vacuum, particularly to the many who relied on his wise counsel and to the majority of his subjects who are impacted by his transformative leadership. My condolences go to his immediate family, particularly Prince Kunle Makanjuola who is currently heading RATTAWU in the state, the royal family, the people of Ekusa town and anyone touched by his demise.”

Governor Adeleke prays to God Almighty to repose the soul of the late traditional ruler and be with everyone impacted by his loss.
