In his keynote address, delivered on behalf of Governor Adeleke, High Chief Teslim Igbalaye commended the OPUUSA for their dedication towards the development of Osogbo and Osun State. He highlighted the significance of the theme, “Osogbo Year of Unity,” noting that it reflects the enduring bond between Osogbo’s sons and daughters in the diaspora and their homeland.

“Your presence here, thousands of miles from home, proves that no distance can break the bond we share with our roots,”

“Your contributions inspire us all, and we are grateful for your deep-rooted love for Osogbo.” the Governor stated.

He outlined transformative strides made by the Adeleke administration in Osun State, particularly in Osogbo. Key projects include the ongoing construction of flyover bridges at Oke-Fia and Lameco, road electrification across major streets, new school buildings, and refurbishments at the University of Osun (UNIOSUN), Osogbo Campus. Healthcare facilities have also been upgraded, alongside numerous initiatives positioning Osogbo as a commercial hub and a beacon of progress in Nigeria.
