
GOVERNOR ADELEKE MOURNS THE PASSING OF OLOFA OF OFATEDO

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has expressed sadness over the news of the passing of the Olofa of Ofatedo in Egbedore local government area of Osun State, Oba Abdullahi Okunoye Agunloye, mourning his loss as collosal.
Governor Adeleke describes Oba Agunloye as a conscious leader who used his stool to advance for the progress of his domain, saying his demise has denied the people of Ofatedo the service of a dedicated traditional ruler.
The Governor honours the life of service that defined the late Olofa’s 44 years reign, noting that under him, Ofatedo experienced not just incredible physical transformations but also saw a steady rise in visibility and recognition.
He commiserated with the people and the traditional institution of Ofatedo, children and immediate family of the deceased monarch and everyone that is touched by the passing of the renowned Olofa.
“I received the news of the passage of Olofa of Ofatedo, Oba Abdullahi Okunoye Agunloye, with sadness. Kabiyesi was a man of conviction, who used his stool to advance progress of his people,” Governor Adeleke was quoted as saying in a condolences message.
“While I join in mourning the loss of Oba Agunloye, I honour his life of service and the commendable efforts at bringing about sustainable changes, particularly for the people of Ofatedo. I have no doubt that he will be remembered for the physical transformation that his sphere of influence was able to bring for Ofatedo and the legacy of impacting lives will linger forever.”
