Osun Prepared To Host The 44th National Council On Information

Sunday AkereThe Government of the State of Osun says it expects at least 600 delegates at the 44th National Council on Information scheduled for Osogbo from Wednesday September 25 to Friday September 27 2013. The Commissioner for Information, Mr Sunday Akere, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Osogbo on Monday.
The commissioner said the State was fully ready to host the conference, with commissioners for information from the 36 states of the federation attending as chief delegates. Akere said the state also expected representatives of all government-owned media outfits. He said the State Government accepted to host the council as an opportunity to showcase the “unrivaled development going on in Osun”.
‘’Apart from the fact that foremost information managers would see for themselves what we are doing, we will also promote the tourism potentials of the State. Most importantly, our people stand to gain a lot economically from the influx of delegates from across the country. All arrangements have been concluded including those on security and we are fully committed to the programme.”
