Aregbesola Inaugurates Commission Of Inquiry To Strengthen Communal Peace In Osun

In a bid to enhance communal peace and progress in the State of Osun, Governor Rauf Aregbesola on Thursday May 15, 2014 inaugurated the commission of inquiry on disturbance of public peace.
Governor Aregbesola while instating the committee said that the primary purpose of government is explicitly stated in section 14 (2)b of the 1999 constitution (as amended) and one cardinal point of his Six-Point Integral Action was to restore the trust between the government and governed.
Aregbesola said, the plan of the present administration was to enhance communal peace and progress, adding that he instated the commission in order to secure the state trophy and thereby continue to maintaining peaceful co-existence among the people of the of state.
While stating the function of the commission, the State helmsman noted the commission is bestowed with the following duties such as hearing, investigating and advising government on matters relating to disturbance of public peace among others.
Accepting the offer, the chairman of the of commission, Honourable Justice M.A Adeigbe who spoke for other members said they accepted to serve the state because of their conviction that Government meant well in finding ways to ensure public peace in the state.
Adeigbe further explained that they would do everything possible to ensure Justice, peace and progress of the generality of the people of the state of Osun in general.
Other members of the Commission are D.P.C Bose Dawodud (RTD), Barr Ismail Ajibade and secretary to the Commission Mr. Bisi Babalola
