Adeleke: Osun Assembly Pays Condolence Visit To Family

Members of the Osun State House of Assembly on Thursday paid a condolence visit to the Ede home of the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke who represented Osun West Senatorial District in the Senate.
Led by the Speaker, Honourable Najeem Salaam, the parliamentarians were received by Adeleke’s younger brother, Dr Deji Adeleke.
In the entourage were the Deputy Speaker, Akintunde Adegboye; Leader of the house, Timothy Owoeye; Deputy Chief Whip, Taiwo Adeyemi, Kamardeen Akanbi and Nurein Adebisi among others.
Salaam described Adeleke’s death as shocking and painful, saying, the State has lost a strong pillar of democracy. He said Adeleke was a respected leader who lowered ladder of success for his people to climb during his lifetime.
According to him, as painful as the death of Adeleke was, he has left a legacy that would be remembered for life. He then appealed to the people of the State, especially Adeleke’s supporters not to allow the death of the late leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) to cause violence in the state.
According to him, Adeleke never preached violence for whatever reason during his lifetime.
Salaam described Adeleke as a great and peaceful man, who would be missed by the people of Osun and Nigeria as a whole
