Governor Adeleke Speaks on Alleviating Peoples’ Suffering as Osun Workers Receives Palliative Award Alerts

NEWS RELEASE

OSOGBO- 04/02/2024 – Osunstate.gov.ng

Following the banking network delay, Osun workers and pensioners have today received their monthly wage award of Fifteen and Ten thousand naira respectively.

Governor Adeleke had in December announced the wage award as part of palliatives to cushion the effect of the subsidy removal. The award is to run for six months from December, 2023 to May, 2024.

Beneficiaries started receiving alerts by 3pm today.

Governor Adeleke restated his commitment to fulfilling all his pledges designed to mitigate the economic hardship facing the formal and informal workers.

“I assure our people of our unwavering commitment to alleviating their suffering. Our government is targeting fundamental areas for long lasting solutions to our common problems. We are focussing on short, medium and long term measures.

“We are judiciously managing and deploying the fund at our disposal for the greater good of our people. This administration is not about self- enrichment. Myself and my family are beyond that anti-people mindset”, the Governor was quoted as saying.
