I am delighted to be with you today at this important gathering marking the year 2025 International Youth Day, themed “Youth Advancing Multilateral Cooperation through Technology and Partnership.”

.I congratulate the youths of Osun State and across the world on this year’s celebration. I also commend your resilience and peaceful coexistence within your communities which is a testament to your patriotism and deep love for our state and nation.

.I am proud of the progress many of you are making in areas such as entrepreneurship, sports and technology. Your innovation and creativity give us hope and strengthen our confidence in the future of our dear state and Nigeria as a whole.

.This year’s theme focuses on empowering young people through digital platforms, encouraging you to connect with peers globally, share ideas and collaborate on solving common challenges. These partnerships can produce creative responses to global issues like climate change, public health crises and social inequality, paving the way for a more cooperative and interconnected world.

.As tomorrow’s leaders, you have a unique opportunity to harness technology and collaboration to tackle global problems. Technology has transformed how we communicate, access information and find solutions and through digital tools, we can mobilise support, share ideas and inspire meaningful changes.

.I must emphasise that our administration is fully committed to youth engagement, development and inclusion. The employment of ten thousand Imole Youth Corps members who have been deployed across sectors such as education, health and environmental services reflects this commitment. In addition, we have appointed a significant number of young people into various roles within our administration in keeping with my resolve to remain a youth-friendly governor.

.As we mark this International Youth Day, I urge you to remain supportive of our administration. These are challenging times but your patience and understanding are vital as we work to implement policies that will bring meaningful and lasting progress.

.Let me reassure you once again, that this administration is doing all it can to create an environment where you can succeed. Your priorities are our priorities. As we continue to move forward together, I am confident we will lead Osun State to greater heights. Let this day serve as a reminder of your strength, your potential and the bright future ahead of you.

.I thank you all for being part of this celebration and I wish you a Happy International Youth Day. Thank you all!
